Excerpt:
Mere tilted her head to the side and the raw fury in her eyes lessened. “Are you legally blind? Can you drive? Did you know you were grabbing my ass?”
The softer side of her voice called to his beast.
“I can drive, although I don’t. It’s safer that way.” He held back from explaining his sight was fine, but when his wolf’s power surfaced his eyes changed to more of a snow white, making him look blind, but they allowed him to see spiritual and energy variances others lived their entire lives unaware of. “I’m sorry I got touchy with you, even though you were talking dirty to me.”
She shuddered. “Don’t do it again.” The bold red in her face drained to a lighter shade of pink. “Do you need me to lead, so you don’t bump into anyone?”
My sight is better than yours. He offered his hand to her. “Following isn’t really my thing. I’ll keep you safe from everyone else’s unwanted touch.”
She placed her small hand in his. A jolt of electricity like none he’d ever felt before struck the center of his heart at her tender touch.
The gentle strumming of a guitar resounded from the speakers. A sorrowful female voice filled the room.
“One moment you were with me. One moment you were gone…” the woman sang. “One chance to be your lover. One dream vanished before dawn…”
He tugged at her hand, and she stepped into his personal space.
She curled her hands around the back collar of his white shirt. “Do not make me regret this.”
He slid his hands to the small of her back and nudged her closer. “No regrets, beautiful.”
She inhaled and softened against him.
“Your voice. Your lips. Your kiss. I’ll cherish…” the woman sang.
Meredith raised her chin and the haze of the mating trance covered her gorgeous eyes. “You’re not part fish, are you?”
“No,” he chuckled. Are you fascinated by the men of the sea?
“You smell so dang good,” she mumbled. “I want to touch you.”
“Do it,” he whispered. You want me. I want you. Yet, you resist. Why?
Her hands glided down his arms at her back and lingered at the cuffs. Almost there. Slide your wrists into my hand behind your back. Surrender. I will reward you with a—
Electricity sizzled down to the tips of his toes and dove into the depths of his beast’s spirit as her fingers grazed the inside of his wrists along the heels of his palms. Vibrant colors exploded around him in layers of turbulent waves. Thousands of intricate ripples of intense energy unlike any he’d experienced flowed into him. A vision from her moved through his mind.

Anna Lores Balances Solitude with Companionship
Anna Lores visits Journeys with Jana to tell us about her writing buddies, who I have to say are totally adorable! Anna is featuring her shifter romance ONE NIGHT OF LOVE: LIVE FOR ME. I love the premise! Please welcome Anna Lores!
Writers: Balancing Solitude with Companionship
by
Anna Lores
People are not meant to be alone. It is in our DNA to want companionship. Yet writing is one of the most solitary of pursuits. Creating entire worlds in a single mind, especially spicy romance, is an incredible challenge in isolation.
So how do you reconcile the need to be alone and create, with our human desire for companionship? I have writing companions that I know are going to let me focus, but also are always there for me when I need some unconditional love: my two dogs Evelyn and Marcus.
I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and have enjoyed canine companionship for many years. In 2011, I really started to focus on becoming a published author, and I found that my dogs at the time, Zippy and Mike, were always there with me while I wrote. They became my silent writing partners.
Zippy and Mike eventually crossed the rainbow bridge, and we got new dogs. You can never replace a dog, because they are each individual and unique in their own way. But they each bring the same thing to me, their unconditional love. Evelyn and Marcus are there for me, just like Zippy and Mike were there before them.
While I’m writing, I can use them as a sounding board for story ideas. And no, I don’t actually think they will respond to me, but as writers, we have internal conversations in our heads all the time during the creative process. I’ve found that externalizing those conversations with my furry partners helps me work through the process.
And here’s a little secret for you. My latest novel is part of a paranormal series that includes werewolves. My little pack here at home has been a great inspiration for me in the process. None of the characters are based on Evelyn or Marcus, but the connection and love I feel for my pack is absolutely shared with the fictional pack I created as the foundation of my story. Those feelings of connection are absolutely real and based on the real life connection we share with our pets.
Whether you have dogs, or cats, or guinea pigs, or fish, you have a partner that can help you navigate those times when you need to be alone, but also need that connection. For me that is the writing process. For you, it might be something else.

ELLA'S TRIPLE PLEASURE by Anna Lores #OnSale!
Anna Lores is having a sale. From now until April 30, 2018, ELLA'S TRIPLE PLEASURE, usually $5.99, is #onsale for .99 cents. Get it while it's hot! Here's Anna to tell us how she manages to fit writing into her day. Welcome to Journeys with Jana, Anna!
For a Writer: Finding Time to Write Is Critical
By Anna Lores
If you’re an author, there are a lot of things that you do to promote yourself and the books you write. From marketing to social media to all the logistical aspects of running a small business. But the most important thing you need to do is write. A lot. And to do that, you need time.
But what if you have another job, or kids, or other responsibilities? Time is one thing we can’t make more of, and in general, time is hard to manage. You try to find time to write, but also time for a spouse/significant other, kids, school activities, dogs, meal prepping, laundry and more laundry. I’m a mom of three teens, so the laundry hamper is forever full at my house. Finding those precious hours to write is a challenge for anyone, even when it’s your full-time job.
So, here’s what I do. I set my hours that I write/research/market during the week day while the kids are at school. Then I set evening and weekend hours for my writing around helping the kids with homework and activities, and my husband’s hectic work schedule. My husband and kids are my VIP’s, so they always come first. But, with a quality schedule managing my time, I get to have the best of both worlds—time for my family and my work. It takes planning, priorities and discipline, but it is possible.
My latest book, Ella’s Triple Pleasure, was mostly written while waiting for my children to finish math, music, sports or dance lessons. Or sitting in a car line. Ten minutes here. An hour there. It’s amazing how those small numbers add up.
And as one final consideration of the scheduling process, make sure to set aside time for yourself. Read some of those books on your TBR list. Get that massage. Take a girls’/guys’ night out. The happier you are, the better your writing will be, not to mention the better your quality of life will be, as well.

It takes three men to satisfy one woman’s needs…
Single mom and massage therapist Ella Winthrop isn’t looking for a relationship. She has enough problems without risking a business that barely meets her needs. Then her world is turned upside down by three men, each offering something she isn’t prepared for—love so deep it hurts, sex so hot she’s afraid she’ll melt from the pleasure, and a future beyond her wildest dreams.
Steamy businessman Cade Jackson has it all—money, looks, a giving heart, and a dominant nature—but Ella refuses to date a client even if she’s lusted after him for a year. After his
brother’s death, Garrett Winthrop moves back to town opening old wounds and even darker fantasies. Dr. Derek McGregor gives her balance and understanding that speaks to her soul. All three men force Ella to question the limits of a traditional relationship.
Excerpt:
A cold breeze swept over them, cooling off skin drenched with the heat of lust. No woman had ever affected him so intensely. No woman had ever refused to date him. No woman but beautiful and sweet Ella Winthrop.
She shivered.
“Are you cold?” He stopped in the darkness of the forest. He should have thought about the cool nights here and brought dinner up to the main house. He needed to be more considerate. “I can give you my shirt.”
He let go of her hand and lifted his tee. He was boiling walking next to her. He was more than eager to take off his shirt or anything else he could get off for that matter. He wanted to be naked between the bed sheets, or up against a tree, or in the grass, or hell, anywhere he could get her into a compromising position. But he had rules for a lasting relationship. Take things slow.
“No, no.” She shivered again. A pink blush filled her cheeks. “I’m not cold.”
She reached for the hem of his dark T-shirt halfway up his chest, but her warm hands touched his bare abs. She told the truth. She wasn’t cold. Maybe her reluctance in the car was because she wanted him as much as he wanted her.
He breathed in and slowly exhaled as her hand glided down to the waistband of his jeans. Please, a little farther. Unbutton them. Make the first, big move. Show me you want me so I can take over.
He tightened his abs, showing off the top and middle of his eight-pack.
She shivered again. Her breathing turned shallow. She stepped closer, and he swore she made a soft, moaning sound like she had in the car. He wanted to hear her moaning under him so badly he could barely think straight.
He sucked in his abs, wishing he had worn loose-fitting jeans, so she could slip her hand down and touch his… The magical hands that massaged his body every week would be on the places he fantasized about having them.
Her fingers lingered near the top button of his jeans.
He waited. His eyelids drooped. Please, do it. Do it, Ella.
