He told her that a friend in Delisle, Sask. remembered that he collected WW2 stuff and gave it to him this summer. He was clearing out his dad's farm after his death, and apparently this helmet had been kicking around there for years. His dad did not know my dad, and he didn't know how the helmet came to be on his father's farm. The collector went on to say that he put the helmet on the head of a mannequin dressed in the uniform of the Regina Rifles, so he (it?) looks much like my Dad would have in 1944.
